Mint flavours have always been a top choice among nicotine pouch users, so there’s no shortage of choice. Whether consumers want mini or large nicotine pouches or mild or extra-strong options, there’s something to suit everybody. Practically all brands have a mint option among their selection, including VELO, NICO, and Skruf.
Mint is a versatile ingredient — depending on the type of mint used and the other ingredients added to the formulation, it can either be sweet and refreshing or intense and icy. Some manufacturers even combine mint with other ingredients, such as fruits or liquorice.
There are a few different types of mint used in fresh nicotine pouches:
● Menthol. Delivers a frosty or icy sensation.
● Peppermint. A sharp and potent mint flavour.
● Spearmint. This is a lighter mint that has a subtly sweet taste.
● Wintergreen. A complex mint flavour that’s somewhat herbal.
● Eucalyptus. A slightly peppery mint taste.
As well as the various types of mint available, brands can fuse mint and other flavours to create unique taste profiles.
This may mean combining mint with:
● Citrus fruits
● Berries
● Other fruits like apples or grapes
● Liquorice
For instance, XQS Blueberry Mint Strong Slim fuses the sweet flavour of blueberries with the freshness of mint.
